Women Platinum Cup

Caturra Natural
Meet our Colombian "Women Taza Platino" roast. It stands for "Platinum Cup", a distinction reserved solely for elite, competition-grade coffees with incredible sweetness, vibrant acidity, and zero primary defects.
When you bring a bag to your kitchen, you are directly supporting these talented women coffee growers as they break boundaries and drive economic growth within their local communities. These visionary women have elevated Huila’s classic terroir into something truly breathtaking. Expect brilliant notes of tart red cherry that open into a rich, velvety heart of toffee sweetness, concluding with a luxurious, lingering dark chocolate and floral finish.
Experience the vibrant taste of Colombia’s premier coffee country with our latest harvest from the famed Pitalito region in Huila Supremo. Crafted by dedicated smallholder farmers and fully washed to highlight its purest characteristics. This exceptional lot arrives fresh at our Michigan roastery. The cup profile of washed coffees tends to reflect the terroir of the coffee. The processing method allows the growing conditions, the region, and the true character of the coffee to shine through. Expect a remarkably balanced and clean cup, bursting with deep caramel sweetness and a smooth milk chocolate finish.
Huila is renowned for its clean, washed coffees, but the producers took a daring approach with this particular coffee. They employed a rigorous natural (dry) process following an extensive 100-hour anaerobic fermentation. By allowing the cherries to dry slowly in the sun while retaining the fruit, the prolonged anaerobic environment infuses rich, winey, and wild fruit sugars directly into the heart of the bean. This method enhances the classic Caturra profile, resulting in an unforgettable, fruit-forward experience.
With an impressive cup score of 86.5, this exceptional harvest showcases the pinnacle of modern Colombian fermentation techniques. Anticipate vibrant, sweet notes of fruit pulp and ripe plum, harmoniously complemented by a rich layer of raisins and pure panela sweetness.

"This coffee is absolute perfection!! Freshly roasted, it perfumes the air! Smooth. Notes of cocoa, berries and caramel. Very pleasant on the palate!!."
"I’m 68 years old. I’ve been drinking coffee for at least 52 of those years. Over the course of that time much of the really good coffee I had was on the road traveling for my job. A small hotel cafe for breakfast in Mexico City. A small family owned hotel in Landstuhl Germany. Or the random truck stop along a rural route in the American heartland.
While these were delicious coffees, I had no way to repeat that goodness in my own kitchen at home. Grocery store coffee, same brand, same roast, same store, provided me with very different results from one purchase to the next. Varying degrees of bitter and bland. More or less, but mostly more sediment. Occasionally luck would prevail and a great-tasting can would find its way into my shopping cart.
Ingrounds Roasterie changed ALL of that for me, my wife, my kids and their spouses, and many of our coffee drinking friends.
If you are looking for aromatic, rich, smooth, clean, and otherwise pleasing coffee experiences, you will not regret giving Ingrid’s hand brewed, small batch, single source Colombian coffees a try."
What customers say about our coffees.
"Ingrounds Roasterie delivers high-quality roasts via pure Colombian magic. I have never had a smoother dark roast."

This coffee is clearly a carefully selected, carefully roasted product from bean to bag. The aroma is intoxicating. I have prepared it in several ways; drip, pour over, French press and aeropress. Each process yields an exciting flavor profile. No bitterness. Smooth and pleasant, leaving a want for more on the palate. You will never buy grocery store coffee again.

Great products and great people. I've always been too intimidated to try making my own cold brew, but Ingrid took the time to explain how and made it super simple. After years of drinking iced coffee, I'm finally able to actually make it myself at home, which will save me so much money. Please support this small business!
